William Samuel Rainy Dick, Cullybackey, County Antrim, was born on 30^th November 1875 at Ballynafie, Portglenone, son of Hugh Dick, Chamomile Hill, Gracehill.  Educated at Glasgow University and Anderson’s College; L.R.C.P., L.R.C.S., Edin., and L.F.P.S.G., 1902.  He was a member of the Cullybackey Branch of the Masonic Order.  He married Maud Carson, Ballymena, and had one son, James Alexander Hall.
