CHARLES AND DI

CHARLES AND DI

Twas on a bleak December day
The winter winds did howl
We heard that Princess Di and Charles
Had broken their marriage vows
The Queen was sitting on her couch
With Philip by her side
When she heard the awful news
With shame she almost died
She said, “What have our children done?”
They’ve shamed us to the core
I don’t know what we’re going to do
I can’t take any more
To see Diana in all her style
She really looks serene
But her really big ambition
Was to be our future Queen
Alas, Alas, twas not to be
The Royal row has started
And as they drifted more apart
Each one looked so downhearted
To see them on a Royal tour
With hearts as cold as stone
They hardly ever spoke a word
Each had troubles of their own
The queen has had her troubles
Over the past few years
She must have had some sleepless nights
And shed many a silent tear
Some would say the monarchy is slowly going down
But we only hope and pray
The Queen still wears the Crown
