SILENT THOUGHTS

SILENT THOUGHTS

There are no words that can express
The hurt the pain the emptiness
The terrible carnage left behind
By the bombers with murder on their mind
While people filled the busy street
Not knowing what they were about to meet
In just one twinkling of an eye
Twenty-eight were blown to eternity
The terrible injury’s some sustained
Many may never walk again
Broken bodies lay all around
The blood of the dying covered the ground
To the people of Omagh and further afield
We want them to know just how we feel
Their pain, their sorrow, their hurt and their grief
This terrible tragedy beggar’s belief
We pray that God will be with each one
As they try to rebuild a life that’s been torn
And pray these killers will be caught on the run
And pay for the terrible crime they have done.
