MOTTO FOR 1946

MOTTO FOR 1946
“VALIANT FOR THE TRUTH”
Valiant, dear friends, as you all know,
Applies to age and youth;
Meaning courage, heroic, brave,
To stand up for the Truth.

Truth is a fact that’s verified,
And always stands the test;
Now let us try and realise
The Bible Truth is best.

In Jeremiah nine we read
Of people who loved lies,
“And were not valiant for the truth,”
Whose equal never dies.

Here are some ways to valiant be,
If spared another year:
Just to speak up for what we know,
Without a doubt or fear.

But actions louder speak than words,
No matter how well said,
And will sure live when words alone
Perhaps are almost dead.

But firstly we must know the Truth,
If we would valiant be;
‘Tis herein lies the mystery
Why people cannot see.

My prayerful wish for readers all
In this New Year of Peace:
Be valiant for the Truth of God,
Which is, and shall not cease.

Old Adam,
Galgorm Parks,
January 1946
