Winter, dull winter makes Christmas look dreary,
But inside the logs in the fire crack cheery.
The holly-decked walls are warm with the glow,
While outside a-howling the wind doth blow.
With reindeer and sleigh old Santa doth come,
When snow is whirling and night is dumb;
When the geese-downs in blizzards do silently blow,
When the white-ladies come dancing down slow.
