FOR THE NEW YEAR 1925

FOR THE NEW YEAR 1925

The wheels of time are moving,
How quickly do they fly;
It makes the chariot steady
To know that Thou art nigh.

To help us if we’re lonely,
To cheer us if we’re sad,
To draw us closer to Him,
This makes our poor hearts glad.

In Him there’s peace and plenty,
Communion calm and sweet;
He makes our burden lighter
While sitting at His feet.

He whispers words of comfort,
He hears the silent sigh,
And whispers “Pick up courage,
My child, I’m ever nigh.

You’re mine – I died to save you,
And I am always near;
Just let Me lead you forward
To meet the sweet New Year.
